The Right Interim

Introduction
Well, summer has arrived and whilst we hoped for heady days and balmy evenings, we will have to make do with severe weather warnings and the odd barbecuing frenzy whenever we glimpse a break in the cloud.

Nevertheless, we have decided to raise the spirits and toast the summer season, with this edition of Fii dedicated to quintessentially English pleasures including cricket, strawberries, ice cream and Pimms.

Interim insight

Enjoy a high tea with Tetley GB or chuck a few prawns on the barbie with Lyons Seafood in our case studies and enjoy some mouth-watering tips from our featured interim manager, Tim Maber.

Employment updates

We look at how British summer holidays will be changing forever, with new government legislation coming into force in October and examine the impact of last year’s Age Discrimination Act.

Industry round up

Our newshound has been sniffing out the latest stories, so that you catch up after your holidays, and we provide you with exciting news about the ‘Hutchinson Jonas Group’. On a summery note, you can read top ten facts about ice cream and we say cheers to our latest food industry legend, James Pimm.

Emphatic victory for PROPS and the Hutchinson AllStars

Earlier in July, the Hutchinson AllStars battled it out in an exciting Twenty20 cricket match against local team Limpley Stoke Cricket Club. With true British stoicism, rain did not stop play and the evening raised almost £1,000 for the charity PROPS, which improves the lives of local children and young adults with special needs. Even better, the AllStars managed to thrash the league side, thanks to a fearsome partnership by two Bath Rugby players, Alex Crockett and Michael Lipman and some bold fielding by the rest of the team including ex-England rugby coach Andy Robinson. For further information about the game, take a look at the press page and take a look at the photos online.

We have been supporting PROPS for some time now and are pleased to see that the government is following our lead and promoting such community initiatives with their recent white paper, Progression through Partnership. This recognises the huge benefits that collaborations involving businesses, charities and the local community can have on improving the individual lives of children and young adults with learning difficulties and disabilities.

We hope that the Twenty20 match will become an annual event and encourage all enthusiastic cricketers to take part next year!

Finally, coinciding nicely with one of our busiest work periods ever, we moved offices in July. Our new contact details are shown below.
